Whether you’re at an emerging company adding new functions to advance a program, or at a larger established company growing your team to execute a global launch – understanding your resourcing needs at different stages and planning to hire for the right roles at the right time is critical for your sustained success.
In our Sep’18 session, we explored how the intensity of involvement for various functional groups changes at various stages of a drug’s journey – from development to commercialization.
Our Oct’18 session uncovered the importance of a clear purpose and well-articulated plan to create a high performing team that executes as a tight-knit group at any stage on the journey. And the sessions of Nov’18 and Dec’18 demonstrated the approach to building a robust highly interdependent cross-functional plan for launching a late-stage asset.
Once you have a solid plan in place (development or launch), it will help you get a sense of why you need to hire people, when, and to do what.
Building on these sessions, our next workshop on Thursday, January 24th will focus on resource planning by stage i.e. roles needed over the course of development and launch to execute your plans. We hope this discussion will encourage you to think proactively about strengthening your team’s internal or external capabilities, as your company continues to progress towards commercializing your pipeline products.
Our session leader for the ‘Resource Planning in Biopharma’ workshop will be Angelene Simonello, Vice President of Program Management at Magenta Therapeutics. Over the last decade, Angelene has been exclusively focused on leading the development and commercialization of pipeline assets at various stages in their journeys, first at Biogen and later at Flex Pharma. Outside of work, Angelene loves to travel to distant exotic locations and experience local cultures, which further informs her ability to lead culturally diverse teams at work.
Please confirm below that you'll be joining us for this session in Cambridge, MA on Thursday, January 24, 2019, from 5 – 7.30 pm.
We look forward to seeing you there, then!
